Instructor Agreement
1. Overview
This agreement governs your relationship with EdQly as an instructor. By submitting content or offering live sessions on our platform, you agree to these terms.
2. Instructor Obligations
As an instructor, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the required qualifications, credentials, and expertise to teach.
- Your content is accurate, up-to-date, and professional.
- You will not upload content that infringes on third-party intellectual property.
- You will respond to student questions and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
3. Payments & Revenue Share
EdQly operates on a professional and transparent revenue-sharing model. Our default commission structure ensures that instructors are fairly rewarded for their expertise while the platform maintains world-class infrastructure and marketing.
| Revenue Type | Instructor Share | EdQly Platform Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Default Agreement | 60% | 40% |
| Instructor Referrals* | 85% | 15% |
* Referral rate applies exclusively to students invited via your unique referral link and is valid for 30 days from the student's registration date.
Campaigns and Discounts
When promotional campaigns are active, the responsibility for the discount cost is split based on the campaign orchestrator:
Platform Discounts
Calculated from the original price. EdQly covers the cost of the discount from its commission.
Instructor Discounts
Calculated from the reduced price. The instructor covers the cost of the discount.
Advanced Campaign Terms
For specialized promotional events, EdQly may implement variable commission rates and custom discount cost-splitting. These terms are defined on a per-campaign basis and will be clearly communicated before your participation.
Campaign Calculation Example
Original Price
$100
Campaign Discount
50%
Student Pays
$50.00
In this specialized mode, the platform reduces its net profit to support major sales events, ensuring instructors can offer deep discounts while maintaining sustainable earnings.
4. Content Rights
You retain the copyright to your content. However, you grant EdQly a world-wide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, market, and distribute your content to students.
5. Taxes
Instructors are independent contractors. You are responsible for all income taxes, VAT, or other taxes applicable to your earnings in your jurisdiction.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to remove your content or suspend your instructor account if you violate our Terms of Service or Quality Guidelines. You may terminate this agreement at any time by removing your content, subject to providing access to students who have already purchased it.
